Purpose Moves Us From Ever Going Back

“My Letter to My Hometown,” which went as follows, was how I started.

Hello Chinle,

Happy 2021 to you all! My name is Christina Sanford and Chinle Arizona is my hometown. When coming down that “Banana curve hill,” I feel as if I'm home. I'm sure that many of you can relate to this feeling I speak of. To start this new year off with our home in mind, I Cristina Sanford, would like to attempt a possible legacy. I am writing to all of you today to ask if you would like to be a part of it. We can be the first community that would benefit from an idea like this and end up being the main example of a positive and caring community for future societies to reflect upon. Truly, if I had all the money in the world my soul would agree to provide the money needed, but since I don't, I am asking for your help in donating funds to get the ball rolling on this new beneficial project. My heart's idea will need the members of this community to invest in this positive community project.

The Positive Community Project DAILY GOAL is to improve our hometown physically, and hopefully emotionally as well. I am praying that this message reaches you during an awesome day that makes you feel intrigued enough to decide to be a part of this possible nonprofit development stage. If this program works like I'm dreaming of it too, then CHINLE will be transformed into a brighter nicer and more prideful place. Not only in its appearance, but ALSO emotionally within the lives of any of the participants.

Let me ask you a question, do you worry about any connected young adult in your family who seems to be throwing their lives towards things like drugs and/or alcohol every day? Well, the PCP will be aiming to help those young citizens with a positive place to go instead. I thought of this Positive Community Project as a means of helping the young unemployed adults of our town by providing them with an opportunity to earn a little cash. The positive community project will be a foundation that will provide earned cash without any intimidating application process and commitment. They come to complete a great deed to earn money from our community, and that is where your money will be going towards when you donate. The unemployed can earn a little cash through this more positive outlet of volunteering their time in kindness rather than looking to drugs and alcohol as a pastime for fun. The PCP hopes to provide an uplifting positively vibing working group who work together to generate positive outcomes for our hometown. Deep down, I personally aim for our interaction to result in the re-sparking of inner light in a positive way for participants. Emotionally, I'm hoping that a person who participates in the PCP work projects will be reinspired to go for their dreams as they feel noticed and appreciated Throughout the future. Success for me looks like Support in the form of donations, Which I imagine will come in the spur of the moment of appreciation of a job well done.

A few concrete ideas that I've been wanting to accomplish with the Positive Community Project are: The re-painting over graffiti with more inspiring images or messages, The re-doing of the town's “C of CHINLE” Upon the Mesa side to invoke more pride, as well as the well needed basic acts of picking up trash in littered areas. Remember, this would be just the start of these brainstormed positive productions. If this program proves to be great for society, I predict that there will be more ideas flowing forth from everyone. I look forward to hearing all the other ideas that my fellow community members would like to add towards making CHINLE better. Please note that all participants must be 21 and over.
